Magic Cha-am

Tourism

The best time to come to Cha-Am is from December to April. Then monsoon comes with heavy rainfalls generally quite brief from May to September. It is in October that it rains most in Hua Hin, this is why it is not the best time to come to Cha-Am.

Nature

Cha-Am is a district in Phetchaburi province. The white-sand beach stretches for kilometers. Moreover, there are places nearby recommended to visit such as Maruek Kathayawan Palace, Phra Ramrachaniwet Palace (Baan Puen Palace), Phra Nakorn Khiri Royal Palace (Khao Wang), Hat Puek Thien, Hat Chao Samran. Many activities are also interesting such as water activities, horse riding, going to mangrove forests and biking.

Culture

For a little local character, visitors can travel north to a quaint fishing village that includes a harbor full of fishing boats and a number of seafood restaurants.

Beach Activities

If you enjoy splashing around in the water you can try swimming, jet skiing and banana boating at the beach in Cha-am. More water sports such as parasailing and wind surfing can be found.

ATV

Try ATV, horse riding, paintball and even archery all in one place at the Cha-am ATV Park. There are three tracks for ATV driving with stunning scenery of mountains and lakes all around, a great way to spend a fun few hours with the family.

Fishing Parks

Cha-am Fishing Park and Khao Yai Fishing Park are both located in Cha-am and easy to reach. Hire a fishing rod and practice your fishing skills in a relaxing natural environment and release your catch back in the water.

Shopping

There are plenty of convenience stores in Cha-am and also a Premium Outlet which includes brand name shops selling discounted goods from clothing to accessories. For more choice the Market Village department store is located in Hua Hin 25 minutes away. To pick up a local souvenirs head to the beachfront and browse the small local shops or take a tuk-tuk to Hup Kapong village for locally produced handicrafts. There is also a market near the train station in Cha-am where you experience the local culture and pick up some tasty snacks, clothes and etc.
